Department of Health Care and Population Protection - CTU in Prague
The Department of Health Care and the Population Protection interconnects health care study programs with programs focused on protection of population and this is reflected in the specialization of our teaching staff and externs. Our academic staff cooperates with a number of top-class workplaces, either medical or those that focus on the protection of the population. In addition, cooperation on solving scientific-research and pedagogical tasks with the academic workplaces of some universities is another benefit. The Department of Health Care and Population Protection offers:
• education in the fields of health care, crisis management, security, and population protection,
• research on issues related to population protection, disaster medicine, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, biomechanics and assistive technologies,
• modern and top-class laboratories for teaching and scientific research,
• international cooperation with universities and scientific research centers abroad.
The Department of Health Care and Population Protection offers bachelor's degree programs in Physiotherapy; Paramedics; Radiology Assistance; Medical Laboratory Technician; Medical Laboratory Diagnostics; Planning and Management of Crisis Situation. The follow-up Master study program offered is Civil Emergency Planning, and the Department of Health Care and Population Protection is used as a training center for the doctoral study program Civil Emergency Preparedness.
Since its arrival in the Czech Republic in 1990, KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, also known as Korea Trade and Foreign Investment Promotion Agency) has been promoting bilateral economic cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Korea. KOTRA is a South Korean government non-profit organisation for trade cooperation and investment promotion and also acts as a trade representative office of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Czech Republic.
The Prague office is one of KOTRA's 128 foreign offices worldwide. We provide mutual trade promotion between the Czech Republic and South Korea. We organize South Korean business missions to the Czech Republic and promote events, occasions and trade fairs involving Korean companies. For Czech importers and business partners, we find and recommend relevant contacts to South Korean manufacturers/suppliers and provide initial contact.
